How Does Phase Change Material Work?
This material is comprised of microcapsules filled with a non-toxic heat storage medium. As your body heat increases the temperature of the pad, the inner medium changes from a solid crystal to a liquid, absorbing your body heat during the transformation.And this process is reversible when temperature goes down. This phase change happens when temperature is around 22-30 degrees.
USE TIPS
Highly suggested to cover this pad with a sheet to feel better at the beginning of the use because its material inside is in the status of crystal.
In crystal form, the material inside the pad is similar to the consistency of salt. The pad is flexible and can be folded, and wrapped around.
This pad has a vinyl cover that can be wiped clean for a consistently hygienic surface.
It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to renew the cooling material (if not in use). You can speed up the renewal process by placing the pad in the fridge or freezer.
Designed with channels to reduce shifting and clumping of phase change material to ensure that the cooling effects are even across the entire surface.
Keep this pad lying flat to avoid gel flowing to one side of the channels and form clusters,making it difficult to pack, or to sleep on next time.
